Captain Bob Pressler, Indianapolis Fire Dept.
Bob Pressler is a 30+ year veteran of the Fire Service and is retired from the FDNY, where he had attained the rank of Lieutenant. Previous to serving with the FDNY, he had also been a member of 2 Combination Departments, one on the Career side and one on the Volunteer side, and has also been a member of several Volunteer Departments, currently serving as a Captain in the Montgomery VFD in Orange County NY.
Pressler holds an Associates degree in Fire Protection Engineering from Oklahoma State University. Pressler was the Hands on Coordinator for the Fire Department Instructors Conference for its first 7 years in Indianapolis, Indiana, and 3 years in Sacramento, California. He is a past member of the Editorial Advisory Boards of both Fire Chief and Fire Engineering magazine. He has spoken at the FDIC and Firehouse Expo, Firehouse World, and Firehouse Las Vegas. Pressler has written numerous articles for several trade magazines and lectures around the country on a wide variety of Fire Service issues.
